During "Operation Iron Swords," dietitians were faced with new and complex challenges, not only related to treating patients with physical and mental injuries but also with personal and professional pressures, such as existential anxiety, financial concerns, and a lack of personal support. This study examined the factors that help dietitians maintain their mental well-being during crises, focusing on personal and organizational resilience as key factors in coping with these challenges.

The study was based on the ecological resilience model, which emphasizes the impact of multiple factors—both individual and organizational—on the ability to cope with distress. Conducted between December 2023 and February 2024, the study included 110 dietitians who responded to questionnaires sent to them. The findings revealed that good personal resilience and a positive perception of the organization's preparedness to deal with crises were directly associated with reduced symptoms of stress.

Additionally, it was found that personal coping strategies and trust in the workplace did not significantly contribute to reducing stress.

In conclusion, the study highlights the significant importance of personal and organizational resilience during times of crisis and recommends the development of training programs for dietitians, focusing on equipping them with tools for maintaining mental well-being. Furthermore, it is essential to enhance organizational preparedness and the support systems that can be provided.
