Opening the 2026–2027 Academic Year

The 2026–2027 academic year begins this month. At the Chaikin Institute for Geostrategy, we measure research by more than its publication record. We want our work to improve how we understand the region, to inform public debate, and to give decision-makers a sound basis for their choices.

This year we will continue to study geostrategy, national security, society, and geography, and to bring academic findings to bear on the problems Israel faces.

We wish students, researchers, faculty, and staff across the University of Haifa a productive academic year.
